Replica of the pectoral cross worn by Saint Cuthbert (c. 634-20 March 687). This replica is based on the original cross removed from St. Cuthbert’s tomb and now displayed at Durham Cathedral.
The cross is cast in heavy bronze and gilded in 24k gold. It is set with a synthetic cabochon ruby in the center and small Garnet cabochons on the sides. The arms are enameled with a transparent red enamel.
The cross measures 2.7 inches (69 mm) including the loop at the top.
